Meet Joe and Colby
Joseph Monachino
Chief Executive Officer
As Monachino Partners’ Co-founder and CEO, Joe brings over 40 years of executive management experience in the security alarm industry. Over the last 18 years, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Alarm Connections, a position held since co-founding the company in 2005. Alarm Connections grew to $48 million in annual revenue and had over 300 alarm dealer partners.
Joe played a pivotal role in spearheading hundreds of business development opportunities, conducting field diligence, and facilitating the closing of numerous bulk acquisitions. His extensive network of industry relationships and acquisition expertise is well-recognized and respected by professionals in the field.
Before Alarm Connections, Joe founded Alliance Marketing Group in 1999. The firm played a pivotal role in driving growth for major security alarm companies, including Holmes Protection Group and Interface Security Systems. Joe has also held various C-Suite roles, notably as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Alarmguard from its founding in 1992 to its successful sale to Tyco/ADT in 1999.
Joe brings unparalleled experience to the forefront and eagerly anticipates supporting independent alarm company owners in maximizing their value within a dynamic market.

Colby Monachino
Chief Operating Officer
Prior to Co-founding Monachino Partners, Colby served as the Relationship Manager for the Central United States at Alarm Connections. Colby effectively managed a portfolio exceeding $670,000 of Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) with 17,000 end-user subscribers. He was accountable for managing key performance metrics in the areas of attrition, profitability, and customer support. Colby actively cultivated relationships with over 80 alarm dealer partners, emphasized best practices, transparently addressed operational challenges, and fostered strong engagement throughout the territory.
Before Alarm Connections, Colby worked for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a trade association representing America’s small and independent business owners. Colby held several positions during his tenure at NFIB, however, prior to leaving NFIB for Alarm Connections, he served as Grassroots Manager for Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New York. In this position, he developed strategies to drive member value, maintained key contact relationships, and engaged business owners through political grassroots advocacy and lobbying.
Colby also serves on the Ohio Coalition for Business and Marketing Education in addition to the Governmental Affairs Committee for ESA.
Colby is a graduate of The Ohio State University and resides in Columbus, Ohio with his fiancé Maria and dog Buzz.
