Joseph Monachino
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
As Monachino Partners’ co-founder and managing partner, Joe had a single goal: to help local independent alarm company owners maximize their value to potential buyers in an increasingly complex market. Joe comes to table with over 40 years of executive management experience in the security alarm industry in business development, mergers & acquisitions, sales, marketing, and operations.
Over the past 18 years, Joe served as Chief Marketing Officer of Alarm Connections (formerly Alarm Funding Associates) a position he has held since co-founding the Company in 2005. The company grew to over $40 million of annual revenue and 300 partner dealers across the country through its unique capital , financing and bulk acquisition programs.
Prior to Alarm Connections Joe was the founder and President of Alliance Marketing Group, a consulting firm that helped develop and support growth initiatives for larger regional and national security alarm companies including Holmes Protection Group and Interface Security Systems in addition to other subscription based and relationship marketing companies, from its founding in 1999.
Prior to that, Joe was the Executive Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Alarmguard, beginning with its founding in 1992 and through its highly successful sale to Tyco/ ADT in 1999. Prior to that he was the Executive Vice President of Marketing for SecurityLink Corporation beginning in 1985.
Joe earned his BA degree Cum Laude from Franklin College, and a M.Div. degree from Yale University.
Colby Monachino
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to founding the company, Colby served as the Relationship Manager for the Central United States at Alarm Connections. Colby managed a portfolio consisting of $674,000 of Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) with 17,000 end-user subscribers. Colby was accountable for managing key performance metrics across the portfolio in the areas of attrition, profitability, and customer support. Colby placed a strong focus on building industry and alarm dealer relationships, drove strong engagement, and improved the overall customer experience.
Prior to joining Alarm Connections, Colby worked for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a trade association representing America’s small and independent business owners. Colby held several positions during his tenure at NFIB, however, prior to leaving NFIB for Alarm Connections, he served as Grassroots Manager for Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New York. In this position, he developed strategies to drive member value, maintained key contact relationships, and engaged business owners through political grassroots advocacy and lobbying.
Colby also serves on the Ohio Coalition for Business and Marketing Education in addition to the Governmental Affairs Committee for ESA.
Colby is a graduate of The Ohio State University and resides in Columbus, Ohio with his fiancé Maria and dog Buzz.
